So, who is Anna Murgia? I am an illustrator, artist, graphic designer, project manager, production coordinator and networker in Svedala, Sweden.
After growing up in a small village called Löddeköpinge in the south of Sweden, I was eager to see what the world had to offer. I spent one year in Texas, USA, as an exchange student, and one year as an nanny i Brussels, Belgium before it was time for two years of university studies in England.
After working for an advertising agency in the dark forests of Småland, my heritage called me back to where I came from, Skåne! I settled in Malmö and met the man of my dreams (half Italian-half Swedish) at work! He also made me fall in love with Sardinia! And now our dream of moving to Sardinia actually has come true – a lot sooner than we thought possible.
I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. After high school I studied one year at Hässleholm’s Art School in Skåne, Sweden, but I also have a BSc in Business Management from University of Hull, England.
With this mix of education and several years of experience, in the media business, I started my own illustration agency, Illustra Murgia in 2005. In 2011 I changed names on my company and split the business in two, in order to clearer define what it is I do for my wonderful customers.
So now I run Genea Murgia for hand-painted family trees and genealogical illustrations for people and companies all over the world, and Murgia Grafica for graphic production for companies in southern Sweden!
And now also Casa Murgia SRLS, is registered in Italy, and we hope to be able to open for business already in spring 2018. More information about our journey here and the renovation of our house, is available on our Facebook page: Casa Murgia, Mogorella and this is also where we will let you know when we are open for business.
